Important Product Info: Disclaimer: This item features acrylic parts. The crystal clear acrylic that John-Richard uses on some items is a wonderful decorative material. Over time, very fine scratch marks may appear on the surface of the acrylic through normal dusting and cleaning. These small scratches can be easily removed using commercially available acrylic cleaning/repair products. Under no circumstances should any abrasive pads, cloths, etc., be used on acrylic.

Cleaning Instructions: Your John-Richard Furniture will give you many yearsof enjoyment provided it is looked after in the followingmanner.Keep the furniture out of direct sunlight sinceoverexposure could change the color of theprotective topcoat or cause colors to fade.John-Richard Furniture is meant for indoor useonly and must be used or stored in a climatecontrolled environment. Avoid extremes oftemperature and humidity. Do not place yourfurniture next to a heating or cooling vent.Clean your furniture with a soft, clean cloth. Ifthis does not remove residue from the furnitureyou should moisten the cloth with water andgently wipe away the stain. Dry with a soft clothto remove moisture.Under no circumstances should you use asolvent to clean your furniture. Solvents suchas alcohol, thinner, nail polish remover etc.will all degrade the topcoat thereby leavingyour furniture unprotected. If a stain or residuecannot be removed in the above fashion,please contact a professional furniture finisherto assist you. Do not use solvents or abrasiveson the metal bases, handles drawer pulls etc.Do not put lamps, accessories, sculptures etc.directly on top of your furniture. Use protectivepads on the bottom of the decorative item toavoid scratching the surface.Decorative hardware should be cleaned in thesame way as the rest of the furniture.ACRYLIC CARE INSTRUCTIONSClear Acrylic is an important design materialespecially for more contemporary furnishings. Theacrylic that John-Richard uses in almost all cases isa super-clear material which is almost as transparentas glass.To care for your acrylic product and ensurethat it retains its clarity and beauty over time,please follow these simple care guidelines.Do not expose acrylic to direct sunlight forlong periods of time. Even the best acrylic mayyellow after a few years if exposed to directsunlight.Clean your acrylic item with a clean dampcloth. You may use a mild soap if required toremove heavier grime but, in this case, makesure you remove excess soap by using adamp/wet cloth, without soap, after the dirt isremoved.Do not use any cleaning product containingammonia or other solvents as they may causean adverse reaction resulting in a cloudy oruneven surface.Over time, even with the best of care, youracrylic item may develop very tiny scratcheson the surface causing it to look slightly cloudy.In this case we recommend using one of thecommercially available acrylic repair kitsor acrylic buffing compounds. Follow themanufacturer’s instructions to bring the acrylicback to its original clear condition.
