The Spanish Chair is masterly interpretation of a traditional type of chair found in Spain’s medieval furniture. Mogensen modernised the design in 1958, and retained the important broad armrests that give the chair character and provide a practical place to put a glass or cup.

Comprised of solid wood, metal buckles, and a leather sling. Mogensen combined this notion with his earlier works and signature functionalism. The wooden construction of the Spanish Chair is formed with geometrical precision, achieving a sturdy design with exceptional durability and enduring character.
